Coming to Cambridge in October 2026? We’d love to invite you to our Freshers Getaway!

Freshaway is for anyone who wants to investigate what it looks like to live for Jesus at university. Expect great Bible teaching and practical seminars, lots of fun and games, and opportunities to build friendships and get stuck in before Freshers’ Week even starts. Whether you’re excited or nervous about starting university, going to Freshaway will mean you arrive in Cambridge:

• knowing dozens of other students already.

• with an idea of what some of the main student churches are like through chatting to some of their staff.

• prepared by three days of prayer, praise, talks, and seminars to live for Jesus at university from the very first day.

Whatever your background - Christian or simply looking in - we’d love to have you with us!

If you are awaiting A-Level results, we kindly ask you wait until after Results Day to sign up - but please go wild on August 13th if all goes well! Know that we as a CU are praying for you in your waiting.

For those conscious about train prices to and from the getaway, feel free to get in touch with us on the email address above, and we can give as accurate timings as possible at this stage. Fixed times will be sorted by latest 13th August, so for those signed up, accurate info will be conveyed on the 13th (and then as soon as you sign-up if later!). It will also be added to the signup form for extra clarity once getaway timings have been nailed down.

It is worth reiterating CICCU is very committed to ensuring the getaway is as financially accessible as possible, so please let us reassure you once more that we’d rather have you with us than your money - and we offer a variety of bursaries ranging in size.
