International Dinners

International Dinners

6:30 - 7:30 pm

Monday · Wednesday · Friday

dinner · talk · interview

A space to think more about the big themes of Truth, Identity and Assurance, and how these apply to our own different backgrounds, over a home-cooked meal, with a short talk and interview.

We’ll be hosted by Josh Bell who’ll be helping us unpack these ideas and also interviewing our guests about their experiences too. Originally from Zimbabwe, Joshua Bell now lives with his wife and two kids in Cambridge, where he works with Friends International in Cambridge to befriend internationals and introduce them to Jesus. He loves early mornings, squash and fires.

N. Thomson

N was born in Bangladesh but grew up partly in Ghana and partly in Scotland. She currently works as a church apprentice at Eden Baptist Church. In her spare time, she enjoys baking, embroidery, playing board games, and going to bed before eleven.

Dr Cecilia Brassett

Cecilia was born in Hong Kong and came to Cambridge to study medicine in 1981. She was a general surgeon and now teaches anatomy to medical students at Cambridge. Her favourite animal is the axolotl.

Among other things, Hassan is a priest of the Anglican Diocese of Jos in Nigeria, the Editor of Global Christian News and also a stringer for CNN in northern Nigeria. He has reported on the attacks by the radical Islamic Jihadi sect, Boko Haram, since 2010. He has a bounty on his head.
